Keira Knightley to star as a bridesmaid
-Posted by: SummerAngel
It is just as well for Keira Knightley, pictured, that there is no performance of her West End play The Children's Hour on Easter Sunday.
The actress is expected to perform on that day as a bridesmaid when her older brother Caleb marries Kerry Nixon, a fashion designer, in a ceremony in Glasgow. He proposed to her over Christmas.
Knightley is hoping for a swift Broadway transfer for her play about lesbianism, but the reviews have been somewhat mixed. The Sunday Telegraph's man in the stalls described it as "iredeemable tosh."

Keira Buys A House
-Posted by: SummerAngel
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY has forked out more than £2million on a new pad in East London.
The actress splashed out on the 18th Century house after splitting from her long-term boyfriend RUPERT FRIEND.
The Hollywood star's gaff, which is on one of the area's poshest streets, would be enough to make any smarmy estate agent start salivating at the very thought of it.
Keira's not known for her boozing but you could have an epic tea party in this place.
So her neighbours won't be bothered much by noise - unless it's the gang round for a late-night book club.
The property is supposed to boast some amazing features. A cinema room, dressing room, library and a music parlour (whatever that's meant to be) are all inside.
It's not quite as rock 'n' roll as KATE MOSS's pad with two cocktail bars though.
But it has a studio house in the back garden that would be ideal for a pot of Earl Grey and scones with posh pals such as SIENNA MILLER - who might just be needing a place to stay for a while.

Keira Knightley will not be in “Cosmopolis” with Robert Pattinson
-Posted by: SummerAngel
Keira Knightley will not be appearing in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis”, the actress’s reps confirmed to us today. Knightley was brought into the casting conversation following some eagle-eyed fans seeing her name listed alongside star Robert Pattinson’s on the production company’s website. When the internet exploded with the news, her name was quickly removed and her reps declined to comment on her involvement until today, with a solid “she’s not in it”.
From the novel by Don DeLillo, the story centers around Pattinson’s young billionaire Eric Packer, following him as he journeys across New York to get a haircut. Most of the action takes place inside the limo that takes him from place to place, and involves him cheating on his wife, being pursued by shadowy assassins (one of whom will be played by Paul Giamatti) and losing his entire fortune in one day. Knightley’s role would have been that of Elise, Packer’s new wife, mysterious and ethereal, who seems to disappear into thin air in the blink of an eye, who Packer runs into periodically throughout his journey. Marion Cotillard was originally attached to play the role back when Colin Farrell had been tapped for Packer, but was confirmed to have left the project around the time Knightley’s name popped up.
Knightley is currently on the West End stage in a production of “The Children’s Hour”, in which she plays a 1930s schoolteacher who is accused of having a lesbian love affair with a fellow faculty member. She was last seen in the criminally underrated “Never Let Me Go” with Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield and will next be seen on screen in “A Dangerous Method”, another Cronenberg directorial feature.
As for “Cosmopolis”, with a projected start date in May, presumably the search is on for the next Mrs. Packer. Might we offer up a few names for consideration?

Keira Knightley on her new film Never Let Me Go and classical music
-Posted by: SummerAngel
Two years ago, Keira Knightley decided to pause and take stock of her rocketing career. After an incredible run of films - including Bend It Like Beckham, the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy and Atonement - she felt it was time for a much-needed, well-earned break.
Since then, Keira - who split with long-tern boyfriend Rupert Friend in January - has been easing herself back into work and today sees the release of the futuristic drama Never Let Me Go, based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Here, Keira, 25, tells The Ticket about making the movie and her life at the moment.

Keira Knightley Interview For ‘Never Let Me Go’ – In UK Cinemas Friday
-Posted by: SummerAngel
Keira Knightley is firmly established as one of Britain’s true global superstars, the London-born actress shot to fame thanks to her feisty, swashbuckling turn opposite Johnny Depp in the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy. A child actor, Knightley first made waves in Bend It Like Beckham which, along with a small but memorable part in Love Actually, launched her in Hollywood, and led to Pirates and the title role of bounty hunter Domino Harvey in Tony Scott’s Domino. Knightley returned home to star as Elizabeth Bennet in Joe Wright’s Pride & Prejudice, for which she earned her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress, and since then has continued to prove her versatility and talent with acclaimed performances both on stage and in films such as Atonement, The Duchess and The Edge Of Love. In Never Let Me Go, Knightley co-stars as Ruth whose relationship with Andrew Garfield’s Tommy drives an irrevocable wedge into her lifelong friendship with Carey Mulligan’s Kathy. ‘Never Let Me Go’ hits cinemas in the UK the 11th February. The film was released on DVD in the US Febuary 1st.
